May Madness

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][dt_gap height=”20″][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/1″][vc_column_text]As I spent time with my family enjoying Workers day I definitely had a sense of ‘the calm before the storm’ – well this storm lasted the entire month and I’m happy to say I am still standing!’

May was the busiest month I have ever experienced, anybody who ever needed my services did so in May, I even set my own world record with the number of workshops I ran and my Friday ritual (of setting time aside to build and market my personal brand) – well that just flew out the window without so much as a struggle. I wasn’t alone in this either – many people I have spoken to have said that it was a crazy busy month for them too. The problem when you are so busy ‘doing’ is that we forget about the marketing – I mean with so much on your to do list why add another activity that doesn’t have immediate results? Well the simple answer is : because it is the easiest thing to do and crosses itself off the list on a daily basis, what I mean is that when you are so busy your personal brand is getting its greatest exposure and it is the prime time to engage some personal marketing.

When you are ‘out’ there, people are open to what you have to say. And if you need some assistance – why not do what I did – pull out your Personal Branding and Marketing Log which I have created as a reminder for people to schedule at least one branding and marketing activity per week (or you could just ensure that at least weekly, you are doing something to ‘get yourself out there’)

And with that, I have just enough time to catch my breath (somewhat frozen as Winter has taken an icy grip on the city) as I dash through the airport headed for Chicago – stay tuned for my next blog which will be filled with my adventures and marketing insights from Chicago

Until next time, take care
