I cannot believe that a year ago I conceptualised the book. It has been an intense and focused year and I can honestly say that the book has been one of the most profound projects of my career.

While I have marketed different products and services during my career including explosives, Chartered Accountants, chicken and supply management services, I do believe that researching, writing, publishing, marketing and distributing your own book is a very different experience! While it has been a steep learning curve, I do believe that the process has been so rewarding. Not only from the perspective of learning new skills, but also from the insights and conversations from the nine incredible people I interviewed for the book. I am so much richer from learning from them and know that so many people will benefit from a both a business and personal perspective from their stories.

I have structured the book in nine conversations. The power of the conversations is that the reader can ‘dip’ in and out of the book and there is no need to read the book from the beginning to the end. The other key aspect of the book is that each time you read it, new perspectives and gems emerge. Each time I proof read the book, different things stood out for me.

People have asked me what was the difficult part about writing the book. I think the most difficult part was taking the risk to self publish. Self publishing is nerve-racking if you have never done it before. The positive feedback from thought leaders who reviewed the book and the wonderful feedback of the nine people I interviewed were key to giving me the confidence I needed.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
